Russian Culture Festival: PALACE ASSEMBLIES - Music Salon
At the beginning of 18th century after several years of study abroad, Russian tsar Peter The Great commanded the families of Russian aristocrats to host cultural assemblies in their palaces - events in the manner of France and Holland. Russian noble families were obligated to visit these events regularly, learn how to dress-up, talk, dance, play musical instruments, card games and drink coffee and wine in the European manner. It is in this way that the cultural tradition of palace balls and salons became an essential part of St. Petersburg life.
On Sat, Nov 3 , we would like to invite you to our assembly where we will recreate the atmosphere of Russian palace culture of the 18th and 19th centuries, tell intriguing and curious stories, treat our guests to light refreshments, and play delightful live music - popular classics, original and jazzy arrangements, and soundtracks from beloved Russian movies about the “olden times”.
The show will take place in the cozy vintage interior of Bauhinia Musik Haus and will be performed involving historic costumes and accessories.

Buon Compleanno, Maestro" - 150simo anniversario di Arturo Toscanini e Umberto Giordano
